I enjoy writing. I don't actually make a living with my English degree, so I keep a blog for fun. The blog is first draft, and as a former editor I apologize for any weird errors that may be present. I do not apologize for writing about things that matter to me. Thanks for reading.

How Christian.

Monks brawl at Christian holy site in Jerusalem

Well, I suppose since they are Christian that they have forgiven each other. This is typical church behavior, actually; people are always on their worst behavior at church that I have noticed. At my church punches aren't thrown. I must say, though, that that would be preferable to all the back-stabbing and bearing false witness crap.

After the brawl, the church was crowded with Israeli riot police holding assault rifles, standing beside Golgotha, where Jesus is believed to have been crucified, and the long smooth stone marking the place where tradition holds his body was laid out.

The feud is only one of a bewildering array of rivalries among churchmen in the Holy Sepulcher.
